Facebook

Do you like Facebook?  I do.  I love to go on Facebook!  I’m not sure why though.  I usually cringe at certain posts and/or compare myself to others.  You know, “Wow- they go on great vacations….”, “She has a really good job…”,  “She looks fantastic….”.  I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others, but Facebook kind of brings that out in us.

  1. I know EXACTLY what you mean! I lead such a boring life on many accounts and am often left feeling jealous when I see everyone’s exciting lives on Facebook. However, I did a post on this early on in my blogging called 7 Innings of Boring that was prompted by one of my very wise friends take on Facebook! It made me feel so much better about it!!

  2. I do love Facebook too, but also remind myself that people only post the highlight reel of their life lol. I tend to be more along the line of “my kids are lucky I let them live another day” not the “our 3 week European vacation could have been better” haha.

Hi momx4: I definitely missed you over the holidays and am glad you’re back. I love your funny drawings and your take on life. Plus, with four kids your blog posts are short and sweet. You are forced to get to the point quickly! Haha! Thanks for this post. I have a love/hate relationship with FB – I like blogging a LOT more!

  4. I am too new at this Facebook thing 🙂 just joined last week and haven’t had much time to navigate it yet! but I will! 🙂 but you know, you are right, wait and see I will start comparing myself to others too, not a good thing for me, ha!ha! 🙂

  5. You would love my Facebook then. I post pictures of my ruined carpet, messy playrooms and burnt dinner, lol!!

I do get it though because I have a friend who looks like a supermodel(and eats what she wants) who seems to be supermom. She bakes, has a perfectly clean house, three gorgeous kids who never have messy faces or hair, does a bazillion errands per day and still posts smiley face pics of herself at the end of the day. I try not to compare but sometimes it is hard not too!!

  6. Facebook envy… I know it well…
