It’s the Little Things in Life

It’s the little things in life that makes us happy, isn’t it?Β  We can buy our kids all the toys in the world, but at the end of the day they are amused with the simplest of things.

  1. hehehehe – whistle through the nose! Mr. T would go through paper, plain notebook paper, as he’d make all kinds of folded designs. His grandfather bought him an origami page a day calendar for Christmas one year so that T could make something every single day. I still find little origami animals, flowers and such shoved in books and drawers!

  2. It’s so true! This morning we had a whole lot of fun splashing in puddles!!!!

We had a ritual when they were little that always made the kids crack up: We often had Popsicles when they’d finished their dinner, and the “Opening of the Popsicle” was always demanded. They’d hold their Popsicle up in the air and their father would pull the wrapper off with a flourish. Why this was funny I never really knew, but it got belly laughs every time. πŸ™‚

  5. The top thing… hands… Just ask my son’s first grade teacher about the spybot apocalypse my son started…. lets just say she was not a fan…..

If I had it to do all over again, when my kids were little, I would have given them empty boxes and puddles to splash in for birthdays and Christmases; they always seemed more excited about those things than any toys they got.
