My all time favorite was when our son was about 3 years old. We were playing at the library, with both of his sisters at school. He looked up at me and said, “Mama, you’re my best friend.” My heart still melts when I think of it! 🙂

My sons are always telling me they love me, want a (thousand) hugs from me – which is “our code” for “hug me long and tight mommy”, save me some of their food …I haven’t heard them say what your son said though, which I thought was really sweet and so affirming.
