Sledding

We went sledding today.  We always try to go when it snows.  It sounds like so much fun!  It seems like a great family bonding experience.  You know what?  It’s really not that fun after all.  The kids cry every time we walk up the hill and your toes feel like falling off…

  1. Sledding. Cross-fit training for moms.

  2. I do not HA and I am sooooo glad I am not the only one, I always feel so guilty about it. I can’t wait till my girls are all old enough to go on their own and then I can just sit back and watch from a distance!

I used to love sledding when I was a kid. But I don’t anymore. It’s so much work and the little one (he’s 3) can’t walk in the snow when it’s up to his knees…who can blame him!…so he gets frustrated and cries and then I have to carry him. And all my 6-year-old wants to do is wallow in the snow like a pig in mud. She thinks it’s the greatest thing EVER. We have 10 inches right now and another 5-10 in the forecast (last year our grand total for the YEAR was 1/2 an inch! so this is significant for us)! Thankfully we have a hill in the backyard and I can send them out while I stay in with the excuse that “someone needs to make the hot chocolate.” Ha!

I went sledding once! I was quite proud of myself. And what a scene, at these sledding hills. It’s like watching surfers at the beach. Snow People are truly a different breed of people. People who are better than I!
